Scindapsus 'Minima-opaline' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a compact rosette within its first year.

Position it in bright indirect light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
