Scindapsus 'Stellata-velutina' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Scindapsus 'Stellata-velutina' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the top third of the mix is dry, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
