Scindapsus 'Borealis-velutina' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a vining spreader within its first year.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at 55% humidity or higher; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
