Dieffenbachia 'Seraphine-viridis' care

Collectors know Dieffenbachia 'Seraphine-viridis' for its steady pace; it keeps a compact rosette even in imperfect corners.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

It is happiest at a humid corner or grouped planting, potted in rich, moisture-retentive mix. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
