Dieffenbachia 'Minima-tessera' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a compact rosette and asks mostly to be left alone.

Position it in low to medium light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
