Dieffenbachia 'Lucida-tessera' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Dieffenbachia 'Lucida-tessera' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at 55% humidity or higher; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
