Collectors know Dieffenbachia 'Halcyon-viridis' for its steady pace; it keeps a trailing habit even in imperfect corners.

Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
