Dieffenbachia 'Cascadia-opaline' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a trailing habit within its first year.

Position it in bright indirect light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the top third of the mix is dry; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
