Dieffenbachia 'Aurora-seraphine' care

Collectors know Dieffenbachia 'Aurora-seraphine' for its steady pace; it keeps a compact rosette even in imperfect corners.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
