Aglaonema 'Velutina' care
Among the quieter members of the genus, Aglaonema 'Velutina' forms a vining spreader and settles quickly indoors.
Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.
Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
