Aglaonema 'Vireo-viridis' care

Aglaonema 'Vireo-viridis' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
