Aglaonema 'Nocturne-silvergleam' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a trailing habit and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
