Aglaonema 'Brevifolia-tessera' care

Aglaonema 'Brevifolia-tessera' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
