Philodendron 'Marmorata-tessera' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a vining spreader within its first year.

It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
