Philodendron 'Borealis-umbra' care
Philodendron 'Borealis-umbra' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a compact rosette and asks mostly to be left alone.
Position it in morning sun with afternoon shade and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. It prefers to be watered sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.
Aim for 55% humidity or higher and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
