Philodendron 'Borealis-lucida' care

Philodendron 'Borealis-lucida' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a slow climber within its first year.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use standard mix cut with a third perlite — roots here want air as much as water. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
