Philodendron 'Borealis-halcyon' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Philodendron 'Borealis-halcyon' forms a slow climber and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for average room humidity and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
