Peperomia 'Borealis-tessera' care

Peperomia 'Borealis-tessera' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a compact rosette and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
