Peperomia 'Umbra' care

Peperomia 'Umbra' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a vining spreader and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
