Ficus 'Halcyon-velutina' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a trailing habit within its first year.

It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at 55% humidity or higher, potted in a chunky aroid mix. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
