Position it in morning sun with afternoon shade and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for 55% humidity or higher and use rich, moisture-retentive mix — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
