Ctenanthe 'Tessera-viridis' care

Ctenanthe 'Tessera-viridis' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
