Ctenanthe 'Seraphine-tessera' care

Ctenanthe 'Seraphine-tessera' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for average room humidity and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
