Ctenanthe 'Minima-umbra' care

Ctenanthe 'Minima-umbra' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the top third of the mix is dry; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
