Ctenanthe 'Lucida-minima' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a trailing habit within its first year.

Position it in bright light with no direct midday sun and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
