Ctenanthe 'Ember-silvergleam' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Ctenanthe 'Ember-silvergleam' forms a slow climber and settles quickly indoors.

Position it in morning sun with afternoon shade and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Aim for average room humidity and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
