Ctenanthe 'Ember-seraphine' care

Ctenanthe 'Ember-seraphine' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Position it in low to medium light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
