Ctenanthe 'Cascadia-halcyon' care

Ctenanthe 'Cascadia-halcyon' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at 55% humidity or higher, potted in coco coir with added bark. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
