Ctenanthe 'Brevifolia-quieta' care

Ctenanthe 'Brevifolia-quieta' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a slow climber and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for 55% humidity or higher and use rich, moisture-retentive mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
