Ctenanthe 'Borealis-lucida' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Ctenanthe 'Borealis-lucida' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for occasional misting in dry rooms and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
