Syngonium 'Umbra-vireo' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Position it in bright light with no direct midday sun and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
