Syngonium 'Brevifolia-umbra' care

Collectors know Syngonium 'Brevifolia-umbra' for its steady pace; it keeps a compact rosette even in imperfect corners.

It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use rich, moisture-retentive mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
