Sansevieria 'Tessera-velutina' care
Among the quieter members of the genus, Sansevieria 'Tessera-velutina' forms a vining spreader and settles quickly indoors.
Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the leaves just begin to soften. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.
It is happiest at a humid corner or grouped planting, potted in standard mix cut with a third perlite. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
