Sansevieria 'Opaline-perlata' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for average room humidity and use rich, moisture-retentive mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
