Hoya 'Halcyon-marmorata' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a compact rosette within its first year.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
