Hoya 'Ember-stellata' care

Hoya 'Ember-stellata' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a slow climber and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at a humid corner or grouped planting, potted in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
