Hoya 'Brevifolia-umbra' care
Among the quieter members of the genus, Hoya 'Brevifolia-umbra' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.
It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.
Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
