Dracaena 'Minima-velutina' care

Dracaena 'Minima-velutina' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a compact rosette within its first year.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the top third of the mix is dry, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
